A waste of a blog post just to let you all know I did absolutely nothing this weekend that was of any use to anyone on the planet, lol.
It was relaxing, tho :D

Flooding
Springlike conditions = blog time!!!
Anyway....I had to go out driving around and since I haven't posted in a while you should probably know that this was a very snowy winter. I had, at minimum, a foot of snow just in my own backyard. It all suddenly melted yesterday (and some today) and all that water had nowhere to go, so everywhere there's standing water. I count it as minor flooding but nothing to get all worked up about (at least, not where I live). I actually kind of like all the mini-lakes that are suddenly everywhere.
Okay, so I'm not very happy about the mini-lake in my basement, but out in the fields they are very pretty with the sky reflected in them and the wind making them have breaking waves. It's all pretty cool. Here are some pictures. They aren't very good because I was randomly pointing my camera out the window and taking about 30 shots just to get these couple good ones. I keep my eyes on the road at all times. :D
I heard someone say we should be expecting snow AGAIN this weekend!! Well, it's winter so that's to be expected ;)

Here you can see where there is still ice all around the puddle, and the waves crash against it. It's not Hawaii-worthy waves, of course, but pretty cool for a field lol.

How times have changed!
A few years ago, I was blogging how if I threw on a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt....my kids would exclaim, "Wow! Where are you off to looking so fancy?!?"
I would think to myself....WHAT do I look like every day that makes them think these work clothes are "fancy"?? So I strove to start dressing better every day. I must be doing a good job of it, because yesterday I was out of pants so I wore my husband's jeans over my pajama pants and one of my husband's work shirts, and the kids all told me I look awful LOL.
Hooray! I've been doing a good job!!
