Close up of the fabulous shoes ;):
We headed downtown and enjoyed some of the sights ~ then we went to the restaurant we had the gift certificate to, but it turns out that the NRA was in town for a convention and the wait to get a table was two hours. So we went down the street to a little steakhouse we had went to for Valentine's Day in 2009. The wait there was THREE hours. So we wandered for a while and found this other place called Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. They could seat us right away!! Hooray!! We came in at just the right time, too because more NRA people came trickling in after we took our seats.
We told them we were celebrating our anniversary and they were so cool about it. We found rose petals at our table:
We ordered Moscato Stemmari, which ended up being soooo good we went ahead and bought the bottle. :)
And after dinner, we got this complimentary dessert and it was sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooood!!
I definitely suggest going to Ruth's Chris & they certainly earned a big tip!
After that we headed back to the hotel. We passed a horrible wreck on the freeway. A car was actually upside-down on top of another car. It was very upsetting.
The next morning I went to the Bistro and had breakfast by myself (my husband hasn't eaten breakfast in the entire time I've known him). I ate at the bar where they had this cool grassy center island:
I decided I wanted one for my "someday" kitchen ;). Can you imagine having to mow your kitchen island? LOL. I WANT.
I also found this COOOOL lamp!!
I think it would go GREAT with my current lamp LOL
I also got this shot of the fire pit that we wouldn't be able to use, because although the night before was beautiful and the perfect temperature, the rain that we were supposed to get that night waited until that next morning.
But it was beautiful!
Before we left I enjoyed a Cherry Pepsi on ice (we live the life LOL):
I enjoyed it because I'm on a quit schedule for pop and this was the first Cherry Pepsi I'd had in about a week (I'm enjoying DIET-but-still-caffeinated pop on the other days. Quitting sugar first, THEN caffeine).
